The Ministry of Commerce, Thailand, in collaboration with Mekong Institute (MI), is organizing a two-week regional training program on “Sustainable Transport and Logistics Planning and Management Phase 2” on April 30-May 11, 2018 at the MI Residential Training Center, Khon Kaen, Thailand. The program is part of the activity on Workshop and Training for Public and Private Sector Personnel in CLMVT together with Trade Partners Countries in Global Market under the Program on Strategic Partnership for Global Market Development and Regional Economic Improvement in CLMVT in 2018.
The program aims to support national development policy for transport and logistics sectors through sharing transport sector development experiences of Thailand and increased knowledge and skills on logistics operations & services, planning and management, as well as provide networking opportunities for business development and cooperation among the program participants.
The program is structured into three parts comprising of training, structured learning visits and business networking. The program is designed for senior and mid-level officials, members of the academia and logistics and transport operators from Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Vietnam and Thailand (CLMVT) with the generous funding from the Ministry of Commerce, Royal Thai Government. Full scholarships will be provided to 12 participants from the CLMVT with a quota of eight (8) from the private sector and two (2) each from the government and the academe. The scholarship covers all training expenses, including flight tickets, accommodation, meals, course kits, training materials and other activities offered under the training program.
