A delegation of the Institute of South East Asian Studies of Vietnam (ISEAS) visited MI on 16 September 2010. The delegation, led by Dr. Nguyen Si Tuan, Director General of ISEAS, met with MI management team to discuss a wide range of issues on GMS integration and cooperation. They exchanged views on the roles of US, Japan and China in the region, river basin management, and how to address the challenges in narrowing the development gaps between big and small economies. ISEAS and MI identified a number of collaboration projects in the meeting, and both institutes pledged to cooperate in areas of common interests in the future.
