Photo Contest
Mekong Institute is pleased to announce its 15th anniversary photo competition with the theme: “GMS Through a Lens”, wherein photographers are invited to submit their photographs focusing on the topics of rural development, trade & investment and human migration.
Prizes:
- Winner = 30,000 baht
- 1st Runner up = 20,000 baht
- 2nd Runner up = 10,000 baht

Announcement:
Announcement of the winner will be made on Fri, May 11, 2012 via MI website, and Facebook. The photo contest winner will also be notified by email.
Requirements:
- The contestant needs to be a citizen of a Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) Country (Thailand, Myanmar, Laos, Viet Nam, Cambodia and Yunnan/Guangxi).
- The photograph must be taken within the GMS region, and must not be older than 2 years
- Must submit on or before the entry deadline: May 1, 2012
- Each contestants may submit up to 15 entries

and be received on or before May 1, 2012 by 11:59 P.M and include the following requirements:
- The Email’s subject/title must be the Photo’s Category and Name of Contestant (e.g. rural development_somchai cameralover )
- Digital files in JPG format are required
- image file size up to 5 Mb.
- Photo must be labeled in following manner: title of work_artist full name.jpg
- Must provide in the email: contestant’s name, nationality, mailing address, phone number, date photo was taken, and a brief description of the Photograph and how it connects to the theme and category
Photographer may enter his/her work in as many categories as he/she see fit. If a photographer would like to submit into multiple categories, he/she must attach a separate email of each category photo entered. However panel of judge or staff may switch your entry into a different category on your behalf.
Judging Criteria
30% - theme relevance (description/meaning)
30% - category connection
30% - creativity and image quality
10% - web popularity (The total count of "likes" on the Facebook )
Rules:
The photograph, in its entirety, must be a single, original material taken by the contestant. By entering the contest, the contestant represents, acknowledges, and warrants that the submitted photograph is an original work created solely by the contestant, that the photograph does not infringe on the copyrights, trademarks, moral rights, rights of privacy/publicity or intellectual property rights of any person or entity, and that no other party has any right, title, claim, or interest in the photograph.
Photographs must have been taken within two (2) years before the date of entry and may not previously have won an award in any other contest.
Usage Rights:
All contestants understand that any image submitted to the competition may be used by Mekong Institute for promotional purposes in any of Mekong Institute publication, electronic media or printed material, including website, online galleries, publications, calendar, yearbook, catalogue, program book, trade show, exhibition visuals and marketing materials without further permission or remuneration.
Proper attribution to the photographer will be given each time it is used by the Mekong Institute, and shall duly carry the photographer's name. Mekong Institute retains the right to use the photographs for such purpose anytime after submission in the contest.

โครงการประกวดภาพถ่ายหัวข้อ “อนุภูมิภาคลุ่มน้ำโขงผ่านเลนส์”
สถาบันความร่วมมือเพื่อพัฒนาเศรษฐกิจลุ่มน้ำโขงฯ ได้จัดให้มีการแข่งขันประกวดภาพถ่ายในหัวข้อ “อนุภมิภาคลุ่มน้ำโขงผ่านเลนส์” แบ่งออกเป็น 3 หัวข้อดังนี้ การพัฒนาชนบท การค้าและการลงทุน และการเคลื่อนย้ายแรงงานข้ามชาติ
รางวัล
• รางวัลชนะเลิศ 30,000 บาท
• รองชนะเลิศอันดับหนึ่ง 20,000 บาท
• รองชนะเลิศอันดับสอง 10,000 บาท
การประกาศผล
ประกาศผลการตัดสินอย่างเป็นทางการที่เว็บไซต์ และ facebook ของสถาบันฯ ในวันศุกร์ที่ 11 พฤษภาคม 2555 และจะแจ้งผลไปยังผู้ได้รับรางวัลชนะเลิศให้ทราบทางอีเมล์
ข้อกำหนด
• ผู้เข้าประกวดต้องเป็นบุคคลที่มีสัญชาติในประเทศแถบอนุภูมิภาคลุ่มน้ำโขงเท่านั้น (ไทย, ลาว,กัมพูชาพม่า, เวียดนาม และ มณฑลยูนนานและกว่างสีของจีน)
• สถานที่ของภาพต้องเป็นภาพถ่ายที่ถูกถ่ายในอนุภูมิภาคลุ่มน้ำโขง ต้องเป็นภาพที่ถ่ายไว้ไม่เกิน 2 ปีนับจากวันที่ถ่ายจนถึงวันที่ส่งเข้าประกวด
• สามารถส่งผลงานได้จนถึงวันที่ 1 พฤษภาคม 2555
• ผู้ส่งผลงาน สามารถส่งภาพถ่ายสูงสุดจำนวน 15 ภาพ
หมวดหมู่ของภาพถ่าย (เพื่อให้สื่อความหมายครอบคลุมในแต่ละหัวข้อได้)
1. การพัฒนาชนบท (การเกษตร, การเปลี่ยนแปลงสถาพภูมิอากาศ, ความมั่นคงด้านอาหาร,ชีวิตความเป็นอยู่, วัฒนธรรม)
2. การค้าและการลงทุน
3. การเคลื่อนย้ายแรงงานข้ามชาติ
กติกา
• ภาพที่ส่งเข้าประกวดต้องเป็นผลงานต้นฉบับ และถ่ายโดยผู้ส่งเข้าประกวดเท่านั้น ห้ามนำภาพของผู้อื่นมาส่ง หรือส่งประกวดในนามผู้อื่น ภาพถ่ายต้องไม่ฝ่าฝืน/ละเมิดลิขสิทธิ์ เครื่อง
หมายการค้า ศีลธรรม สิทธิส่วนบุคคล/สาธารณะ หรือทรัพย์สินทางปัญญาของบุคคลหรือองค์กรใดๆ อันเป็นเหตุให้ถูกฟ้องร้องเรียกค่าเสียหายได้
• ภาพที่ส่งเข้าประกวดต้องไม่เคยได้รับรางวัลในการประกวดใดๆ มาก่อน
การส่งผลงาน
ผู้เข้าประกวดสามารถส่งผลงานได้ทางอีเมล์

ภายในวันที่ 1 พฤษภาคม 2555 โดยมีรายละเอียดดังนี้
• ในหัวข้ออีเมล์ (subject/title) ที่ส่งเข้าประกวดต้อง ระบุหมวดหมู่ และชื่อผู้ส่งเข้าประกวด เช่น การพัฒนาชนบท-สมศักดิ์ รักถ่ายภาพ
การค้าและการลงทุน-สมบุรณ์ ตากล้อง
• ส่งภาพในสกุล .jpg เท่านั้น
• มีขนาดไม่ต่ำกว่า 1,000 พิกเซล
• ขนาดของภาพระหว่าง 2-5 MB
• ระบุ ชื่อ-นามสกุล สัญชาติ ที่อยู่ เบอร์โทรศัพท์ ที่ติดต่อได้สะดวก
• ระบุวันที่ๆ ถ่ายภาพ ชื่อภาพ สถานที่ๆ ถ่ายภาพ และคำอธิบายสั้นๆ ของภาพถ่ายที่สะท้อนให้เห็นแนวคิดในหัวข้อนั้นๆ
• ภาพถ่ายที่ส่งเข้าประกวด จะต้องไม่มีการต่อเติม เปลี่ยนแปลง หรือบิดเบือนภาพไปจากเดิม ยกเว้น การปรับสี และแสงของภาพอย่างสมเหตุสมผลเท่านั้น ทั้งนี้ ให้อยู่ในดุลยพินิจของคณะกรรมการตัดสิน
• ผู้ประกวดสามารถส่งผลงานเข้าประกวดได้มากกว่า 1 หมวด หากผู้ประกวดต้องการส่งประกวดในหลายๆ หมวด ผู้ประกวดต้องแนบไฟล์ผลงานแยกออกมา ในแต่ละอีเมล์ที่ส่ง ทั้งนี้
คณะกรรมการตัดสินมีสิทธิที่ จะจัดหมวดภาพถ่ายแตกต่างออกไปจากหมวดที่ผู้เข้าประกวดแจ้งได้
เงื่อนไข
ผลงานภาพถ่ายที่ส่งเข้าประกวดเป็นกรรมสิทธิ์ของสถาบันความร่วมมือเพื่อพัฒนาเศรษฐกิจลุ่มน้ำโขง แต่ลิขสิทธิ์ของภาพถ่ายยังเป็นของผู้เข้าประกวดอย่างสมบูรณ์ สถาบันฯ มีสิทธิในการใช้ประโยชน์และเผยแพร่ภาพถ่าย เพื่อประชา สัมพันธ์ภาพลักษณ์ขององค์กรและประชาสัมพันธ์งานด้านการตลาดได้โดยไม่ต้องเสียค่าลิขสิทธิ์ให้ แก่เจ้าของลิขสิทธิ์ภาพถ่าย ทั้งนี้สถาบันฯ จะระบุชื่อเจ้าของผลงานให้ทุกครั้งที่ทำภาพถ่ายไปใช้
สถาบันฯ มีสิทธิคัดเลือกภาพถ่ายที่ส่งเข้าประกวดเพื่อนำไปจัดแสดงในที่ต่างๆ และมีสิทธิในการจัดพิมพ์เผยแพร่ผลงานในสูจิบัตรและเอกสารสิ่งพิมพ์ รวมทั้งสารสนเทศอื่นๆ
