MI Human Resource Pool
Currently, MI has four training teams (one for each thematic area) and a Research and Learning Resource Department, which provides information and technical support to the learning programs. There is a total of 45 full-time staff representing all six GMS countries and 5 international experts. MI has partnered with several training and research institutions in the region and beyond to increase the institute's capacity to meet diversified needs in the region.
Training Methodology
MI utilizes the competency-based approach in its modular training to maximize learning and knowledge sharing. Participants first go through the "Learn to Do" stage, where concepts, principles, techniques and tools are acquired and cognitive competence is used as the training progresses.
Participants then apply the knowledge gained to their respective assignments, such as proposal writing and developing monitoring and evaluation plans. They demonstrate performing skills by the end of this "Do to Learn" stage.
A synthesis and evaluation session takes place in the "Share to Lear" stage when all assignments are completed. Lessons learned and practical experiences are shared, and participants have the opportunity to integrate the knowledge and experience gained from the course into a structured set of perceptions, beliefs and attitudes.
