Twenty-four participants will reconvene at the “Synthesis and Evaluation Workshop on the Enhancement of Business Connections and Information-Sharing Among Special Economic Zones in Lancang-Mekong Countries” on July 14 to 17, 2020 via Zoom application.
The activity is the last phase of the “Enhancement of Business Connections and Information-Sharing Among Special Economic Zones in Lancang-Mekong Countries,“ training which was held last August 26 to 30, 2019. Both activities are under the “Joint Development of Cross-Border Special Economic Zones” project. Supported by the Lancang-Mekong Cooperation Special Fund, the three-year project was designed to enhance regional coordination in the management and promotion of special economic zones across Cambodia, P.R. China, Lao PPR, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam.

The 24 participants are government officials who represent the ministries or departments of commerce, industry, and customs, the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration, the National Economic and Social Development Council, as well as universities, research institutions, and border economic cooperation zone agencies.

Workshop Process and Requirements
The “Synthesis and Evaluation Workshop on the Enhancement of Business Connections and Information-Sharing Among Special Economic Zones in Lancang-Mekong Countries” will be divided into two parts.
Part 1: Guidance on Country-Wide Preparation for the Synthesis and Evaluation Workshop Via Online Methods
- Participants will be provided via email access to the Action Implementation Form and Training Cycle Assessment Form, as well as a list of required materials (e.g., PowerPoint presentations).
- The completed forms and other required materials must be submitted on July 9, 2020 to [email protected].
Part 2: Online Synthesis and Evaluation Workshop on July 14 to 17, 2020
- Country group representatives will present their collective (a) reflections on action plan implementation and (b) program training recommendations.
- Country group representatives will be allotted 30 minutes for presentation and Q and A for each of the two presentations.
All participants are required to attend the pre-meeting and workshop to complete the training program.
The 24 selected participants will be provided USD 50 for his/her internet package. The payment will be transferred to the account of the individual or group team leader after the completion of the workshop.
