Online Training on Web-Based Monitoring and Evaluation System for Mekong-Lancang Cooperation Funded Projects

E-Training BACKGROUND

MI will hold the “Web-Based Monitoring and Evaluation System for Mekong-Lancang Cooperation Funded Projects” e-training from August 10 to 17, 2020. Structured as an engaging one-day online session, the e-training will run for seven hours from Monday to Friday. Each day is scheduled for one Mekong-Lancang member country for tailored instruction in the design and management of the web-based Monitoring and Evaluation System.

Invited mid-level officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and sectoral ministries will attend to (a) be oriented on the web-based Monitoring and Evaluation System for Mekong-Lancang Cooperation projects and (b) gain knowledge in the design, and conduct, and management of project monitoring and evaluation via the web platform.

The activity is part of MI’s “Capacity Building for National Coordinators of Mekong-Lancang Cooperation” Project, which is implemented in cooperation with Thailand’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and supported by the Mekong-Lancang Cooperation Special Fund of P.R. China.

TARGETED PARTICIPANTS

Mid-level officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and sectoral ministries from Cambodia, P.R. China, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam are invited to attend. These participants must represent the Monitoring and Evaluation Department of a Mekong-Lancang Cooperation Project Implementation Agency and are currently managing projects that promote one or more of Mekong-Lancang Cooperation’s five priority areas on (a) connectivity, (b) production capacity, (c) cross-border trade, (d) water resources, and (e) agriculture and poverty reduction.

E-Training PROCESS

The e-training is structured as a one-day online training course with an experienced MI team facilitating the activity remotely from the MI Headquarters.  It will apply online methods and tools for sustainable learning and open exchanges of technical inputs as outlined in the following program flow: (a) introduction, (b) orientation and instruction by MI team; (c) feedbacking; and (d) synthesis by MI team lead.
