Six months after the “Information Requirements for Special Economic Zones in the Lancang-Mekong Region” training, MI will convene the same 16 participants at the “Synthesis and Evaluation Workshop on Information Requirements for Special Economic Zones in the Lancang-Mekong Region to (a) review knowledge gained from the December 16 to 19, 2020 training, (b) share experiences in the implementation of their action plans, (c) exchange knowledge and best practices, and (d) assess MI’s modular training cycle and recommend ways forward to strengthen the training program.
Scheduled on July 20 and July 29 to 31, the four-day workshop will be facilitated by MI officials and thematic experts via Zoom Application. The activity is supported by the Lancang-Mekong Cooperation Special Fund under the “Upgrading Border Facilitation for Trade and Logistics Development” project.
The pre-selected 16 participants from Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, and Thailand each represent a Special Economic Zone or Economic Zone in Tai Seng Bavet, Zhejiang Guoji, Savan-Seno, Thilawa, Dawei, Kyaukphyu, Chiangrai, Nakhon Phanom, and Phnom Penh.

Workshop Process and Requirements
The “Synthesis and Evaluation Workshop on Information Requirements for Special Economic Zones in the Lancang-Mekong Region” will be divided into two parts.
Part 1: Guidance on Country-Wide Preparation for the Synthesis and Evaluation Workshop Via Online Methods on July 20, 2020
- Participants will be provided via email access to the Action Implementation Form and Training Cycle Assessment Form, as well as a list of required materials (e.g., PowerPoint presentations) for submission.
- The completed forms and other required materials must be submitted on July 25, 2020 to [email protected]
Part 2: Online Synthesis and Evaluation Workshop on July 29 to 31, 2020
- Country group representatives will present their collective (a) reflections on action plan implementation and (b) program training recommendations.
- Country group representatives will be allotted 30 minutes for presentation and Q and A for each of the two presentations.
All participants are required to attend the pre-meeting on July 20, 2020 and workshop from July 29 to 31, 2020 to complete the training program.
The 16 selected participants will be provided USD50 for his/her internet package. The payment will be transferred to the account of the individual or group team leader after the completion of the workshop.
