Minister of the Korean Embassy in Thailand Visits MI

Our embassy wants to promote and increase its cooperation with MI, declared Mr. Park Won-Sup, Minister Counselor at the Korean Embassy in Thailand, during his visit on July 17. The minister went congratulated MI for its successful Mekong-ROK Comprehensive Partnership for Mutual Prosperity seminar, held in Khon Kaen last March before moving to discuss future areas of collaboration and cooperation.
Mr. Park informed the meeting that both proposals submitted by MI to the ROK have been approved including the, FREATA Certified Logistics Master, and Strengthening Local Chambers of Commerce & Industry and SME Associations along Southern Economic Corridor to Promote Agriculture Value Chains programs.
The possibility for MI to engage in mutual exchange programs with Korean institutes in the areas of culture, green growth and trade was discussed in depth, with Mr. Park recommending the hiring of a Korean national given the increased connections between both parties. The minister stated that the hiring of a Korean staff member would assist in identifying new areas of collaboration and cooperation, paving the way for even closer ties.
Dr. Suchat, MI Director, expressed his gratitude for Koreas trust and support towards the institute, expressing his desire to collaborate with the ROK in a broader range of development-based activities in the future.
