June 14, 2023

Mekong Institute (MI)’s annual flagship event, the Mekong Forum, returns and will take center stage in Kunming City, Yunnan Province, People’s Republic of China, on July 27, 2023. Built around the theme “Driving Transformative Change in the GMS,” this year’s forum aims to gather and engage the subregion’s most influential leaders, policymakers, development practitioners, business and civic leaders, and interested individuals to share ideas, inspire one another, learn from experts and expand your network.

Designed to be one of the GMS’ biggest conferences, the event will shine a spotlight on the GMS, showcasing its transformative potential in driving sustainable economic growth and reclaiming its position as a growth center while advancing the shared vision of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Global Development Initiative (GDI).

By attending the event, you will hear prominent leaders and experts from diverse sectors share keynote addresses and actionable insights. The forum offers technical and collaborative sessions, where development trends, opportunities, and innovative solutions will be shared and discussed. It is an extraordinary chance to share ideas, inspire others, learn from experts, and expand your network. Also, a Study Tour will be organized on July 28, to various agricultural, industrial or environmental sites in Kunming. By joining, you will be immersed in an exclusive learning experience and hear from experts the latest innovations and practical tools on the ground.
